His Royal Highness Prince Turki AlFaisal His Royal Highness Prince Turki AlFaisal was born on February 15,1945 in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He began his schooling at the Taif Model School. In 1963, He graduated from the Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He was appointed an Adviser at the Royal Court in 1973. From 1977 to 2001, he served as the Director General of the General Intelligence Directorate (GID). In October 2002, he was appointed as Ambassador to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. In July 2005,he was appointed as Ambassador to the United States . His Royal Highness is a member of the Council on Terrorism of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Washington D.C. His Royal Highness is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Oxford Islamic Center, Oxford, U.K. His Royal Highness is a founder of the King Faisal Foundation and member of the Board of Trustees. His Royal Highness is Chairman of the Board of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh. |
