At the center of Makkah lies one House, AlKa’aba, or “Al-Bayt Al-Haram”, which stands as the visible symbol of the unity for humanity. No matter one’s faith, this concept of Makkah holds a universal truth: that human development must, if it is to remain healthy and sustainable, take an externally looking approach, starting with one’s own house and reaching out to the world.
