Brief CV of Dr. Muhammad Ikhwan
Senior Vice President, Group Mergers & Acquisitions

Dr. Muhammad Ikhwan: Graduated from KFUPM, Dhahran, KSA in 1974 with B.Sc.        General Engineering, Honors Program.  He then moved to the US where he obtained M.Sc.  Operations Research from Stanford University, in 1976 and Ph.D. Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University, USA in 1984.

Dr. Ikhwan joined the Faculty of Engineering at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah (Department of Industrial Engineering) where he taught graduate and under graduate courses.  He earned Associate Professorship and served as Chairman of the Department between   1993 & 1995.

Muhammad Ikhwan then joined the Savola Group in 1995 as a GM – Special Projects. Thereafter, he served the Group in various key positions like Group General Manager – Packaging Division, Vice President – Business Development, Oils & Fats Division, and Vice President – Group Finance.

Currently Dr. Muhammad Ikhwan is the Group Senior Vice President for Mergers & Acquisitions.  His major responsibilities are to analyze, develop and recommend the suitable new investment opportunities for the Group and supervise major acquisitions and divestitures.
