David Sucher David Sucher is the author of City Comforts: How to Build an Urban Village. . In addition to serving as a design consultant to cities, businesses and neighborhood groups, for the past 25 years he has developed neighborhood-scale real estate in Seattle, both residential and commercial, He started his career as an urban planner for the City of Seattle, Washington, USA at the beginning of Seattle’s resurgence working on such issues as electric rates, environmentally sensitive areas, design review, environmental impact statements, and anti-discriminatory lending. He also was chosen to serve on the Seattle Planning Commission, which he did for four years. David Sucher studied at Columbia University, the University of Washington and the Seattle University Law School. He is a member of the Washington State Bar. His current project is a new book entitled The Three Rules of Urban Design. He lives in Seattle, Washington. He likes to ski, golf, roller-blade and visit cities which embody the city comforts he explored in his first book. |
