Message from the Chairman of the Gulf Research Center (Organizer)
As an independent research think tank focusing on the political, economic, strategic and social developments in the Gulf region, the Gulf Research Center (GRC) is proud to be organizing together with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry the 10th edition of the Jeddah Economic Forum (JEF) to be held from February 13 to 16, 2010 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The 2010 Jeddah Economic Forum will highlight the strategies required and/or anticipated for global economic development and growth, and bring together leading decision-makers, experts, businessmen and academics to discuss the outlook for the world economy in the next 10 years in the key sectors of banking and finance, energy, environment, trade, agriculture, industry, education, health, and science and technology. Given its in-depth knowledge of the Gulf region, the GRC is completely committed to providing the necessary content and research that will ensure not only a successful event but will also lead to concrete policy discussions about the way forward during these times of economic uncertainty. In this way, the GRC will strive hard to meet the expectations that have been laid out in front of us and deliver a constructive and forward-looking program that will prove useful both for the Gulf region and for the world beyond. I look forward to seeing you in Jeddah in February 2010.
Abdulaziz Sager
Chairman, Gulf Research Center
